What you can do without an account

You can read stories, browse venues, races and run clubs without signing in. We don't ask for your name, number or email for that.

What we collect when you sign in

• Account: your email address and a password, which is stored scrambled (hashed), never as plain text.
• Profile: the name other players see and, if you add it, your city.
• Activity: games you host or join, run clubs you tap "I'm going" for, and slot requests you make, so we can show your stats and let hosts see who's coming.
• Game chat links: a host's WhatsApp group link, shown only to players who have joined that game.

What stays on your phone

Your chosen city, light or dark mode, app icon and similar settings are saved only in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Location

If you tap "Detect my location", your browser asks your permission and we use your position once, on your phone, to pick the nearest city. We don't store or send your location.

WhatsApp and calls

When you tap a WhatsApp or Call button, your phone opens WhatsApp or the dialer with a message you can edit before sending. What you send goes directly from you to the venue or club; Strop doesn't see or store it.

Who else handles data

• Our hosting and database providers (Lovable and Supabase) store data for us securely.
• Your name and game history are visible to players in games you join.
• We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. We'd share data with authorities only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and activity, except anything the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can see and edit your profile on your Me page at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account.

Children

Accounts are for people aged 18 and over, or younger users with a parent or guardian's consent.

Changes

If we change how we use data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
