Terms of Use

1. Who can use Strop

You can read Strop at any age. To create an account, join or host a game, or tap "I'm going" for a run, you must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission and supervision.

2. Your account

• Give a real name that other players will recognise, and keep your login details to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other people at risk.

3. Games, run clubs and meeting people

Strop helps people who don't know each other play together. Please look after each other.

• Be respectful. No harassment, abuse, discrimination or unwanted contact, on the app, in game chats or at the venue.
• Only host games you intend to run, and leave a game early if you can't make it so someone else can take your spot.
• Any money for a game (like splitting the court fee) is between the players and the host. Strop does not collect or refund it.
• Meet at the venue, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. Playing sport carries a risk of injury; you take part at your own risk and should play within your fitness.
• Run clubs listed on Strop are run by their own organisers, not by Strop.

4. Venues and bookings

• Many venues are listed from public information. Timings, prices and facilities can change, so confirm them with the venue.
• Venues marked Strop Verified have confirmed their details with us. We still don't run these venues.
• When you send a request on WhatsApp or book a slot, the agreement is between you and the venue. Payment, cancellations and refunds follow the venue's own rules.

5. Our content belongs to CATEN8

The Strop and CATEN8 names and logos, the Stroppy character, the app's design, articles, infographics and share cards, and the way our listings are compiled are owned by CATEN8 or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

• You're welcome to share links to Strop and our share cards as they are.
• You may not copy, republish, sell or build a product from our content, design or listings, and you may not scrape, crawl or bulk-download the app or its data, without our written permission.
• Photos are credited to their photographers and used under their licences.

6. Things you must not do

• Post false games, spam, or anything illegal, hateful or sexual.
• Try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with how the app works.
• Pretend to be someone else, including a venue or a club.

7. What we're responsible for

We work hard to keep Strop accurate and running, but it is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, CATEN8 is not responsible for injuries, losses or disputes that come from games, runs, venues or other users, or for listing details that turn out to be wrong. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as Strop grows. We'll change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Strop after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
